History of the company
In 1982, in a region, Emilia Romagna, where precision mechanics and oleodynamics find their most refined applications, was born the Deep Drill S.r.l.; this Company wanted to be the answer to the increasingly pressing requests of Professional Geologists to have tools to investigate the subsoil quickly, effectively and in the most varied environmental situations.
The new company was born under the most resolute intentions, one of which is listening to and fulfilling the requests of the technicians of the sector.
The true advisors of the “Up” to the instruments, are nothing more than the colleagues, who using our machines daily report the improvements to be applied.
The Geo Deep Drill therefore undertakes to give continuity to the activity of the previous management, and at the same time to renew and redesign its tools, with the help of the new technologies available.
And for this….

In 1982, in a region, Emilia Romagna, where precision mechanics and oleodynamics find their most refined applications, was born the Deep Drill S.r.l.; this Company wanted to be the answer to the increasingly pressing requests of Professional Geologists to have tools to investigate the subsoil quickly, effectively and in the most varied environmental situations.
In particular, from the market very light instruments were required, automated in most of their functions, referring to the various international standards, proposed at a low cost.
The response to these requests was provided by Deep Drill Srl with the first dynamic penetrometer (DPM according to ISSMFE) coupled with a light oleodynamic probe, served by a powerful and compact hydraulic lift-extractor. This instrumentation, a veritable milestone in geotechnical equipment designed to investigate the subsoil, given its simplicity of use and its versatility, has been the launching pad for the new company.
Subsequently, the “Deep Drill System”, based on a single hydraulic unit, “engine” of different types of geotechnical instrumentation, was enriched with a 50 kN static penetrometer and relative hydraulic key, and a heavy penetrometer (DPSH according to ISSMFE). These instruments, perfected in many details, still constitute the basis of the production of Deep Drill S.r.l.; subsequently they have been proposed in the wheeled and self-propelled versions.
Over time, the production of Deep Drill S.r.l. it has been enriched with increasingly refined and powerful multi-function instruments; in particular, the range of 25 and 50 kN penetrometers has been extended with the new 120 and 200 kN models, all multifunctional (static penetrometer, dynamic to different standards, and hydraulic probe), offered in three versions: trolley-mounted, self-propelled and as modules for customized assembly.
It should be noted, however, that the new production – even in its power, complexity and multi-functionality – has never lost sight of the peculiar characteristics of the initial production, for which compactness, versatility, effectiveness, reliability, excellent price-performance ratio and maintenance the possibility of their use by a single operator are, today, the Deep Drill Srl a leading Company in the production of geotechnical equipment for the Professional Geologist and companies in the sector.
On the 13th of June of 2012, Deep Drill S.r.L. gives its experience, in the construction and construction of geotechnical instrumentation, to the new management.
Become the “Geo Deep Drill” at the head of the new company there are now Massimo in planning and construction and Diego in consulting and design.
